Introduction i have recently gotten my hands on a pair of sennheiser ie7 which is a real treat for me. these were supposed to be my first pair of good earphones a couple years ago but things never worked out unfortunately but i have finally gotten to hear these.

Sennheiser IE7 Review | What Hi-Fi? Sennheiser's ie range is a sound isolating family of earphones for the high end market, outperforming and out costing the casual cx lines. The ie7 earphones aim to take on some of the very best in ears around with their bold design and conventional driver. for a price of $300 you get some of the best in ears on the market today that impress with a detailed bass and full sound stage. Like the higher end ie8, the ie7 does not offer much isolation but boasts good ergonomics and an excellent cable, making it an easy earphone to use out and about. its sound, too, works well on the go – it just isn’t as “hi fi” as one might expect from an upper tier sennheiser product. Those notes are musical with my sennheiser rs270's and akg k 340's, and definitive mythos xtr50 speakers. i haven't looked for the sound of such highs in other recordings, and maybe the effect doesn't occur with all ie7's, but i am disappointed.
