Revised Technology Adoption Model (TAM) | Download Scientific Diagram Objective this article reviews published research on tam use in health information systems development and implementation with regard to application areas and model extensions after its initial introduction. After an in depth analysis of the contemporary and past literature on technology adoption theories, models, and frameworks, this paper presents a novel revised tam to capture and present technology to individuals and to understand the social and cultural factors that affect technology adoption. Tam2 is an extension of the original technology acceptance model by venkatesh and davis in 2000 which also i ncludes external social factors that influence the behavioural intention to use new technology. in 2008, venkatesh and bala further extended the model. The technology acceptance model (tam), originally proposed by davis in 1986, primarily focuses on the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of a tech nology as key determinants of technology adoption.
