Curatorial note from digital pedagogy in the humanities: musical geography uses digital mapping technology to study music and musicians in particular communities of time and space, inviting students to contribute to crowdsourced topics or develop their own research interests. Musical geography offers a useful resource for instructors and researchers of history and musicology. in addition, this resource may offer inspiration for researchers interested in pursuing their own mapping projects. Inspired by pedagogical need, this project combines musicological methods with digital humanities theory and tools to produce maps that serve students, scholars, and the general public.
