Pin_Removal_Tool | TDIClub Forums The only time i have ever had success getting a vw wire out of a connector without a tool was when i was installing the mfa cluster, and working on the 32 pin connectors behind the instrument cluster. I've always use the number 18 tool even for the smaller pins. that tool fits most of the wires on the mk3 and older cars, even the smaller ones in the ecu connector.

Tdi Parts | TDIClub Forums To get the wire through this boot you will need to take apart the connector and remove the wires with a pin removal tool. remove the purple plastic u shown out the side of the connector. Sounds like an interesting solution assuming it works. could the metal wiper strips work as a radio removal tool on any of the cars?.
