My Experience With Itch Io Devlog
My Game Devlog - Itch.io
My Game Devlog - Itch.io I maintained a devlog for a while on itch.io mostly for the purpose of documenting and showing off new developments. i was hoping to attract players too, but i abandoned it when i saw that they were not getting any views (and did not increase downloads). Just me, rambling about my experiences with itch.io. condo on itch.io: https://flubbedmachina.itch.io/condo condo on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/37 #gamedevelopment.
Devlog 2 - Itch.io
Devlog 2 - Itch.io We've experimented with having a devlogs section in our community, and seen many use their project message boards to post topics for each new update. today we're happy to announce our next feature: devlogs. devlog posts will appear in the same customized layout you've build for your project. I have tried but it takes too much time and i end focusing on that rather than my actual game. i have heard that itch.io is a good place but do people really read those devlogs?. Hey everyone whos reading this, i want to know how was your experience using itch, whether you are a developer, gamer, or poster in the community. i’m a developer that have published games on a few platforms other than itch. itch.io has made it very easy to make a project and just publish it. A community has always been a big part of growing itch.io. over the past few months we’ve added features like comments on project page, and message boards on game jams.
Devlog #6 - Itch.io
Devlog #6 - Itch.io Hey everyone whos reading this, i want to know how was your experience using itch, whether you are a developer, gamer, or poster in the community. i’m a developer that have published games on a few platforms other than itch. itch.io has made it very easy to make a project and just publish it. A community has always been a big part of growing itch.io. over the past few months we’ve added features like comments on project page, and message boards on game jams. I'm only really aware of itch.io, and it's never really something i've looked into until now, so any advice/experiences are welcome. also, on a slightly related note, any general advice on writing devlogs would be appreciated 🙂. I've always had trouble finishing my games (i haven't finished any of them, actually). so i'm counting on this devlog to motivate me and finally deliver a finished game to prove to myself that i'm capable!. This dev log documents my experience creating a game as a solo, hobbyist, game developer with full time job outside of the industry. i didn't work on the game every day, although i do think i put a lot of time into it this year. the theme this year was "journey home".
