Decolonial Futures Open Call 2020 The first open lecture of the decolonial futures programme will be given by curator and researcher mi you. she will share her thoughts on economic colonization and de colonization, the urgency of working with “indigenous” cultures and the power relations and symbolic values implicated in it. Decolonial Futures Open Call 2020 We are committed to making all our resources open access under creative commons and to support our artistic and research partners in the best ways we can. in the context of the current crises, we have indigenous partners in brazil who are in need of more immediate support. The decolonial futures research priority area establishes collaborations on decolonial research across the humanities, law, and behavioural and social science faculties. Since education is much broader than schooling, gtdf found that it was problematic to assume that education in 2048 would still happen through schools, a different kind of future focused activity was developed. In this article we review learnings from our collaborative efforts to engage with the complexities and challenges of decolonization across varied educational contexts.

In this article we review learnings from our collaborative efforts to engage with the complexities and challenges of decolonization across varied educational contexts. Gtdf works at the intersection of two critical domains: first, the examination of historical, systemic, structural, and ongoing harm; and second, the exploration of the unsustainability of modern economies, political investments, and dominant ways of relating, knowing, and being. The final workshop was organised by werker collective, who led a printmaking workshop with archival images from decolonial and revolutionary movements. the introductory seminar was open to the general public, as part of the sonsbeek programme.
