Brave Browser Rendering Issue - Desktop Support - Brave Community Just as a heads up, a few days ago, brave started behaving extraordinarily strangely. the window would constantly flash when loading a page or opening a new tab or switching between open tabs. i have resolved it by unchecking the “use hardware acceleration” option. I'm opening this issue to capture several display issues that users have been reporting in brave in the last few releases. these issues are all similar in that they're all related to bugs in the way the browser displays sites/content but they are not all the same graphical issue.

Issue description: when browsing with chrome, edge, or brave, pages do not render until i switch tabs or minimize and restore the browser window. the loading indicator spins, but the content stays blank. after switching tabs, the page instantly appears. this also happens with internal pages like chr. Description of the issue: when accessing any website using brave beta, the content is not rendered correctly. the layout is distorted, and the text is smaller and sometimes hard to read. The issue resolves itself when disabling hardware acceleration, but i would really rather not shoot my cpu usage up when hardware acceleration has always worked for me until now.

The issue resolves itself when disabling hardware acceleration, but i would really rather not shoot my cpu usage up when hardware acceleration has always worked for me until now. We (brave) use the same list as chromium when it comes to software rendering and driver bugs. there have been bugs we unintentionally introduced with bad patches (ex: conflict patches related to fingerprinting when upgrading chromium) but this is extremely rare.
